How giveaways work
Giveaways run on their own page: the Giveaway link in the sidebar opens in a new tab. Entries come in two ways — a keyword typed in chat, or channel points spent.
- 1Pick a keyword. Viewers whose message contains it join the giveaway.
- 2Optionally turn on subscribers get double odds — viewers with a sub badge enter the pool twice.
- 3Hit Start. Entries pile up on stage and you draw the winner whenever you are ready.
- 4By default someone who already won in this giveaway is not drawn again — handy when you draw several winners in a row.
Channel point giveaways
In channel point mode viewers type nothing: a temporary channel point reward is created on Kick and viewers join by redeeming it. The reward is deleted automatically when the giveaway ends.
- Channel points must be enabled on your channel — the mode is unavailable if they are off in your Kick dashboard.
- Redemptions are held: entries that made it into a draw are accepted, and everyone else gets their points refunded.
- If you end the giveaway without drawing at all, nobody loses points.
- Closing the tab ends the giveaway and deletes the reward.
- This mode is available on Pro and above; chat mode works on every plan.
